You Do Not Need Fixing

You do NOT need fixing.
There is a message so many women have absorbed without even REALISING it.
That if you feel OFF, lost, flat, overwhelmed, resentful, or disconnected...something must be wrong with you.
You must need more discipline.
More confidence.
More motivation.
A better routine.
A mindset reset.
A plan to “get yourself together.”
But often, that is NOT the truth.
Often, you do not need fixing.
You need RECONNECTING.
Reconnecting to yourself.
To your needs.
To your voice.
To what you actually FEEL.
To what you want NOW, not FIVE years ago, not what others expect, not what looks good on paper.
Because many women have become EXPERTS at functioning while disconnected.
They keep showing up.
Keep carrying.
Keep organising, anticipating, remembering, smoothing things over, and being “the STRONG one.”
And from the outside, it can look like they are coping beautifully.
But inside...something feels missing.
Not because they are broken.
Because they have been pulled so far away from themselves that they can no longer hear their own truth clearly.
...This is what reconnection looks like:
It looks like noticing when you are tired, instead of pushing through automatically.
It looks like admitting that what used to fit, no longer fits.
It looks like telling the truth about what feels HEAVY.
It looks like pausing long enough to ask, What do I NEED? What do I WANT? What matters to me NOW?
It can feel unfamiliar at first.
Especially if you have spent YEARS being needed, being dependable, being the one who holds it ALL together.
But self-abandonment is NOT strength.
And constantly overriding yourself is not the price you are supposed to pay for being a good woman, partner, mother, leader, or friend.
...The next chapter of your life may not require a BETTER version of your old coping strategies.
It may require a DEEPER relationship with yourself.
A return to your own inner guidance.
A willingness to honour what is TRUE.
The courage to stop performing wellness, and start practising self-trust.
So this is your reminder today:
You are not behind.
You are not too much.
You are not failing because the old ways are no longer working.
Maybe this is simply the moment you stop trying to FIX yourself...
and start coming HOME to yourself instead.
A question to sit with this week:
Where in your life do you need to reconnect with yourself, rather than push yourself harder?
